Primary custom-connector setup flow for The J Word.
Add custom connector
- Open claude.ai and go to Customize > Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Paste the URL below and save it as The J Word.
- Start a chat, open the + menu, then enable the connector for that conversation.
Claude app
Use the same connector on iPhone or Android after adding it to your Claude account.
Connectors
Shows up on mobile when you sign into the same Claude account used on web or desktop.
- Add the custom connector on Claude web first. Anthropic currently treats web and desktop as the primary path for custom connectors.
- Open the Claude app on iPhone or Android with the same account.
- Start a chat, tap +, then open Connectors.
- Turn on The J Word and send the job URL you want to apply to.
Claude Desktop
Use this local bridge config only if you want Claude Desktop to launch MCP/server.py on your machine.
ChatGPT web
Full MCP actions are on ChatGPT web for Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces with Developer mode enabled.
Create custom app
- Open chatgpt.com on desktop web in a workspace that has Developer mode access.
- Go to Settings > Apps > Create.
- Add the remote MCP endpoint and use the values below when ChatGPT asks for app credentials.

ChatGPT on mobile

The J Word
MCP apps set up on chatgpt.com appear in your web session on any device — just open chatgpt.com in Safari or Chrome on your phone.
- Set up The J Word connector on chatgpt.com in a workspace that supports Developer mode (see the ChatGPT web card above).
- On your phone, open chatgpt.com in Safari or Chrome — the same session and apps carry over.
- Start a new chat, tap +, then enable The J Word from the Apps list.
- Paste a job URL and ask ChatGPT to apply using your saved profile.
Gemini web
Current status: Google's consumer Gemini app (gemini.google.com) does not offer a user-facing flow to add custom MCP servers. Workspace-managed extensions are configured by admins, not end users.
DeepSeek web
Current status: DeepSeek (chat.deepseek.com) does not currently expose a user-facing MCP connector flow in the web or mobile app.

How to start a job application in chat
Once your AI client is connected, send a message like one of these to kick off the application:
- Apply to a job: "Apply to this job: https://company.com/careers/role-123"
- Check a portal: "Is this a Workday job? https://company.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/…"
- Explore questions first: "What questions does this job ask before I apply? https://…"
- Dry run: "Simulate the application for this URL without submitting: https://…"
