Gemini web

Current status: Google's consumer Gemini app (gemini.google.com) does not offer a user-facing flow to add custom MCP servers. Workspace-managed extensions are configured by admins, not end users.

Neither Gemini web nor the Gemini mobile app currently supports adding a custom MCP server URL from a personal account. If Google adds MCP connector support to Gemini in the future, you will be able to use the remote URL shown in the Claude web section above.

DeepSeek web

Current status: DeepSeek (chat.deepseek.com) does not currently expose a user-facing MCP connector flow in the web or mobile app.

DeepSeek's web and mobile interfaces do not support adding custom MCP servers directly. You can use DeepSeek's API through the LangChain snippet below if you want to integrate DeepSeek models with The J Word programmatically.

LangChain / LangGraph

How to start a job application in chat

Once your AI client is connected, send a message like one of these to kick off the application:

  • Apply to a job: "Apply to this job: https://company.com/careers/role-123"
  • Check a portal: "Is this a Workday job? https://company.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/…"
  • Explore questions first: "What questions does this job ask before I apply? https://…"
  • Dry run: "Simulate the application for this URL without submitting: https://…"
